I was 4, (and a half) and I was
studying stuffed animals. My bag was
packed: lined field journal, 3 sharpened pencils, a colored pencil pack, lunch,
water bottle, and a layer. Once my OOBEE comes to pick me up and we head to the
car. He asks me if I’m excited. I not
vigorously, what 4 year old (or any age) girl doesn’t want to be able to skip
school to go to Build-A-Bear. We pull up at the mall and go inside. One of the
ladies at the store asks if were there for a father daughter bonding day. He
shakes his head and says “no, we’re here on a school field trip.” The woman
nods, now I can picture her just thinking “what
kind of whack-job school does she go to?” But of course I’m smiling from
ear to ear. I end up with a soft stuffed pink and white poodle that barks and
“tons” of “notes.” Best trip ever!

I had no idea that they took kids to build-a-bear. What a wonderful thing for you, Lily!
