Allegiant

Spoilers included

Allegiant by Veronica Roth is the third book in the Divergent series. The genre of this book is dystopian syfy.  This book is narrated by both Tris and Tobias as first person. It is set about 300 years into the future and in  and out of the Chicago Experiment. Finding out the setting was an important part of the story, however it did help or give me a better understanding or picture in my head of the story. So far I really like this book and I think that the author has made many great choices in the book, but I do not think that it is the best one in the series. As I read more into the book I can see the characters start to grow and change in different ways, and it really makes me feel like I am with the characters as the story moves. I would love to read more books by Veronica Roth and I can’t wait to read her next book Four! I would definitely recommend this book, it’s really nicely written and has a very good story to follow.
When Tris and Tobias get out of Erudite, they are asked to go on a secret mission for the allegiant outside the fence. Once they make it out they discover along with the rest that they are part of an experiment called the  “Chicago Experiment.” This shocks and confuses them. Meanwhile Tris is trying to get as much information about her mother as she possibly can.

Soccer

As everyone steps out onto the soccer field and starts to stretch one of the coaches tells us to run a lap. As everyone un-enthusiasticly gets up and starts to jog slowly, our coach gets up and starts chasing everyone. Once he starts everybody starts to sprint as fast as possible around the green field. Once we reach the other end of the field, we all fall down from exhaustion. I can feel my heart beating so hard in my chest I have to convince myself that no one else can hear it. My chest feels heavy and my throat feels tight as I stand up and grab a ball. I walk over to the group and continue stretching still out of breath. I sit in the small circle waiting for the coach to call for a water break, but he doesn't and I sit there panting. Eventually I see everyone stand up so I do the same. They start running with the ball, and all I can think is: hear we go again.

Insurgent by Veronica Roth – Week 2

Tris struggles with the fact that she killed Will, and because of it her best friend won’t talk to her- even acknowledge her. She must face the facts and protect her fellow faction members and embrace her divergent brain in order to save everyone around her. However this isn’t easy once everyone finds out about her divergence. Most people take sides without knowing ether you think that Tris is smartest person in the world, or she’s someone who can’t be trusted with anything. This book just keeps getting better and I’m so excited to keep reading. There are so many twists and surprises in the story that it’s hard to put down!
