We cut the rope,
Needing hope,
We all scream,
Sunset gleams,
The sunset swing,
Is an amazing thing.
Here is an update about what is happening in my book this week:
This is my second week reading Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter.
While Cammie is being debriefed for a mission for the first
time, she’s hoping her mom would want to stay and watch but unfortunately her
mom has “things” to do. Cammie wonders about what kinds of “things” her mom is
doing, but can do nothing about it. Once she gets back to school she goes to
the library. There she listens in on a
conversation between her mom and her teacher about the black thorn. Her and her
friends become determined to find out what or who the black thorn is/are. I have
really enjoyed this book so far.
Cammie is invisible at her school, which is good, because Cammie
goes to a school for spies. She goes unnoticed for days. Until one day she
walks into town on a mission and instantly gets caught and needs a cover.
Cammie the spy, who speaks 15 languages, takes PHD level chemistry, advanced martial
arts in PE, and can kill a man in 7 different ways. But after she’s seen she becomes:
Cammie, a homeschooled for religious reasons girl, with a cat named Suzie and
very strict parents who take night classes at the library. The characters in
this book are very strong, and the plot is very vivid. I would recommend this
book to anyone that liked The Heist Society,
Cheating At Solitaire, and, They All
Fall Down, all by Ally Carter.
We were all set to go to New York tomorrow. Bags packed with
everything I need. So excited to go, but then, I sneezed. I couldn’t stop. I
was coughing, and sneezing, and I had a fever.
I went to go lie down and take a nap, but when I woke up I still felt
awful. Hoping, praying that we could still go. But no we canceled the trip and
I didn’t go to school on the next Monday.
SPOILERS
Tris and Tobias create a
plan to mind wash everybody involved in the brain washing of the Chicago Experiment.
Tobias still feels guilty for befriending the girl who is responsible for Uriah
death. This book is really great however, it’s very sad knowing what happens
because someone spoiled it for me. I am
very excited to see what’s coming next! I waiting VERY patiently for tomorrow when I go see the new Insergent movie, I hope it's as good as the first one.
My arms were so sore after I made the decision that 200
pushups in a row was a good idea. I couldn’t pick anything heavy for a week. My arms felt awful and anytime they moved it
hurt. But eventually they stopped hurting and I couldn’t walk without limping
for two days because I did something to my knee. This little slice took place
over maybe a week and a half.
When I was in kindergarten I had a dream. My whole class was
in the desert, but not the real desert, just sand as far as you could see. I was
the leader of my class, and very proud. There were two dead bushes about 10
yards apart. There was a t-rex chasing us from bush to bush. It was terrifying
to a 4 year old, but now I just think it’s hilarious.
As I sit down on the faded rainbow
striped seats ready to go on a hike I look to the window, the sky, the
mountains are glowing, I’m happy. I regret nothing, except maybe the 600 pound
backpack. I can already tell it will be a great day. I smile. We reach our
destination and hike up the hill. We decide to go further. As we approach the
waterfall; backpack on, legs sore, shoulders heavy, we climb over the log and
eat lunch. We tell stories and take pictures. Everyone climbs down and prepares
to get back on the faded rainbow stripe seats.
